Pump Mama’s easy kitchen hack to coring apples!
For those of you who love apples and/or find yourself coring a lot of them to pack snacks for little ones, then this tip will come in handy.
If you have tried the metal, cylindrical corer that goes directly and vertically down into the center of an apple, then you know it’s a hit-or-miss process that usually ends up with a required second attempt and a botched-looking piece of fruit. And, if you have tried the round, metal corer with sections for slices and handles on either side, you know what a time-consumer it is to clean the darn thing.
Hence, my apple-coring hack: the melon baller! It’s the easiest thing ever!
Just slice an apple, melon-ball it, et voilà!

Just use a melon baller!
I find that peeling apples when they’re cut in half is also easier on my wrists. When I do the old-fashioned way, going all the way around the apple to create one spiral of skin, it ends up bothering my wrists and tiring out my hands. Does that happen to you?

Using a melon baller to core apples is fast and easy!
So try it, and let me know what you think!
